<p>I am quite happy with my <a href="http://www.technomaria.com/2010/03/02/a-week-with-my-asus-eee-pc-1005ha/">Asus Eee PC 1005HA</a>. So I was excited to see that <a href="http://ph.asus.com"><strong>Asus</strong></a> has a new Eee PC: <a href="http://ph.asus.com/product.aspx?P_ID=zNIiqr35mY7CBZCp"><strong>Eee PC 1005P Seashell</strong></a>.</p>
<p>The 1005P runs on an Intel Atom N450 processor and on ASUS Super Hybrid Engine technology. It also has an Express Gate, &#8220;an ancillary operating system that boots up in seconds&#8221; that allows you to multi-task at a fast speed. Just like what I do and need to do all the time.</p>
<p>It has a 10.1&#8243; LED display, an ergonomic keyboard, and a multi-touch touchpad.</p>
<p><span id="more-352"></span>It can run for as long as 11 hours with a 6 cell battery or for as long as 5 hours with a 3 cell battery. That&#8217;s a lot of work and productivity in a sleek, lightweight netbook.</p>
<p>Here are the specifications:</p>

<p>In the Philippines, <a href="http://ph.asus.com">Asus</a> retails these nifty netbooks at PhP19,900 (with a Windows 7 Starter OS and a 250GB hard disk) and PhP18,500 (with no OS but with a 320 GB hard disk). And they have a promo until August 31, 2010. You get a free ODD, an Asus Slim DVD-RW drive, when you buy an Asus Eee PC 1005P.</p>

<p>Number two on my <a href="http://riajose.wordpress.com/2010/01/25/10-for-2010/">10 for 2010</a> is&#8230;</p>
<blockquote><p>2. Buy a netbook. Save money. Budget efficiently.</p></blockquote>
<p><span id="more-158"></span>So yeah, I am looking for a new netbook.  Budget&#8230; P20,000 &#8211; 30,000.  Specs?</p>
<p>Errr&#8230; Sadly, I can&#8217;t explain the tech aspect but here&#8217;s the stuff I use my laptop for:</p>
<ul>
<li>Internet surfing;</li>
<li>Uploading and downloading stuff;</li>
<li>MS Office &#8211; this is a must;</li>
<li>Simple image editing; and</li>
<li>Basic video editing using ULead Video Studio and Windows Movie Maker.</li>
</ul>
<p>And it shouldn&#8217;t be too big or heavy. I am starting to have back and shoulder pains already.</p>
<p><center><div id="attachment_167" class="wp-caption aligncenter" style="width: 310px"><a href="http://technomaria.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/p_500-1.jpg"><img src="http://technomaria.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/p_500-1-300x300.jpg" alt="Asus Eee PC 1005HA" title="Asus Eee PC 1005HA" width="300" height="300" class="size-medium wp-image-167" /></a><p class="wp-caption-text">Asus Eee PC 1005HA</p></div></center><a href="http://www.brendelbalaga.com">Brendel</a> has recommended an <a href="http://www.asus.com/product.aspx?P_ID=BtksJTDENqfsnuyf"><strong>Asus EEE PC 1005 HA</strong></a>.  And <a href="http://www.alleba.com/blog">Kuya Andrew</a>, my tech consultant, agrees with her.  This <a href="http://gadgetophilia.com/asus-eee-pc-1005-ha-seashell-review/">review</a> seems promising.  It seems really good as opposed to an <a href="http://gadgetophilia.com/hp-mini-2140-vs-asus-eee-pc-1005-ha-seashell-comprehensive-comparison/"><strong>HP Mini 2140</strong></a> which was what I have been aiming for.  </p>
<p>Comments, suggestions, violent reactions? I need RECOMMENDATIONS! Brand, model, where to buy in Davao City?</p>
<p>HALPZ?!</p>
